About Chester M. Przybylo

Chester M. Przybylo, a partner in the law firm of Przybylo, Kubiatowski and Associates, found his passion for estate planning early in his legal career. Today he focuses his practice on estate and business planning, elder law, living trusts and asset protection. He is proud that over the years he has assisted literally thousands to achieve their goals of reducing taxes, preserving assets and avoiding probate. Noted for his ability to reduce complex legal and financial issues to understandable terms, Mr. Przybylo is called upon frequently for his creative and effective planning recommendations. He is also a sought-after speaker, presenting seminars to both public and private groups, at colleges and professional organizations on a wide range of estate planning topics.


Mr. Przybylo has been in private practice for all of his lengthy career. He is a founding member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, and serves on their Board of Governors. He was a charter member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys and is also a member of the prestigious Chicago Estate Planning Council. Mr. Przybylo is a member of the American Bar Association and its Real Estate, Probate and Trust Group, the Illinois Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Chicago Bar Association, where he served on the Trust Law Committee. Mr. Przybylo is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States District Court, United States Court of Claims, Tax Court of the United States and all the courts in the State of Illinois. He has co-authored numerous books on estate planning: “Legacy”, “Ways and Means”, “Generations”, “Strictly Business”, “Love, Money and Control”, and “Your Life, Your Legacy” and “ What Happens When Someone Dies in Illinois?”


Mr. Przybylo graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. with a bachelor of arts degree in economics. He earned his MBA in finance from the University of Chicago, and his Juris Doctorate from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.


Chester and his wife, Betty, were born and raised in Chicago. They have a daughter, Jennifer, who is a cancer researcher in New York City. When busy schedules allow, the family enjoys travelling on family vacations. With his wide range of interests, he is an avid reader, and a hosta landscape specialist who also enjoys attending farm auctions,and performances of the opera,and symphony.

About the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys

The Academy is a national organization dedicated to promoting excellence in estate planning by providing its exclusive membership of attorneys with up-to-date research on estate and tax planning, educational materials, and other important resources to empower them to provide superior estate planning services. The Academy expects members to have at least 36 hours of legal education each year specifically in estate, tax, probate and/or elder law subjects. To ensure this goal is met, the Academy provides over 40 hours of continuing legal education each year.
